Hi boys.I am on roadtrip in Europe and my fuel gauge(diesel) can not make its mind.It is jumping up and down - no reliable reading. What can I do ??

If you know how much you normally get from a tank.  Fill it up, reset the trip, and make sure you refill it well before then.  For example I reckon my TDI130 will typically give 500 miles from a tank, so I would refill it after 400.

The fuel sender is in the top of the tank.  There is an access panel in the rear floor, but you need to remove seats and at least pull back part of the carpet, do it's probably better to leave it till you get home.  It shouldn't affect the running operation of the vehicle.

Has anything else stopped working?

Thanks for reply . I will keep my eye on milage. Car is ok apart of that funny gauge. Thanks again :)
