It has happened!
Went out to start car this morning
slight smell of diesel
Eureka ! the aux heater fired up
for the first time
no jet noises
just a hot exhaust under side of car
and water warming up engine  ;D ;D

checked heated mirrors they worked too  :)
had not realized the rear screen had to be on as well

outside temp approx 10 degrees

No jet noise!! should be at full speed after it's been running 30 secs to 1 minute. If you can't hear the jet noise while listening outside the car I would say it's shutting down or in low power mode.
Are you sure auxiliary water pump (run on pump is working)

No connection between booster heater and heated rear screen.

Anywhere between 10deg C and lower, thermo switch is rated at 10 degs C

Chris
can hear run on pump OK
Took car a short run
was blowing hot air
in approx 2 miles
then could hear jet noise
but fairly quiet
ps I use a hearing aid
so have a lovely quiet motor :(

either change your battery's in you aid or turn the volume up,coz they aint that quite. ;D

All good then :) just remember to turn hearing aid up to get the full benefit LOL
