tried to check me door wiring as one electric window u/s   when i tap the big castellated nut around to try to release the plug  the entire thing in the door pillar goes round as well,   i removed the erin panel inside but no way could i gt my hand to the rear of it to try and hold it.  does anyone know or have pics of the inside part  so i can see how it holds th outside part to it ?  if that makes sense ! ???

You need to keep pressure on the plug from behind, probably what's happened is while your turning the castellated nut the locking ring is also turning.

i gave up on it  and simply pulled the gaiter from where it goes into the door,  you can see most of the wires and manage to get your fingers down the inside to feel for anything broken    luckily all intact so i think the window switch must by dodgy
