Anyone know where i can get a cheap wiper motor for the front screen as mine has given up and gone to wiper motor heaven, and also is this a common problem on these cars thanks

Are you sure it's the motor that's packed up and not the linkage which has seized (which is a common problem)?

If it's definitely the motor then good ol'  [eBay] always throws up a few for sale, worth double checking the part number matches your old unit though.

I'm not sure it was always slow since i bought it 6 weeks ago, and just presumed that the motor was the issue, but I will look into it now that you have said about the linkage, when my son-in-law checked it he took the arms off and the spindles and arm connectors were worn, virtually smooth, is this normal I don't know we only bought it too travel to Exeter, we were going to sell it as I prefer diesel cars and petrol bikes lol, are there anymore common issues with these vehicles that I should be concerned about, many thanks  ???

Are you talking about the splines on the ends of the spindles where the wiper arms connect? If these are nearly smooth it would indicate the wiper arms have been on and off a few times, I wouldn't call it normal!

As for common faults, take a read here.

Travelling to Exeter are you? That's funny, that's my town!  ;D
