Hi people , I have problem with speakers on drivers side . Head unit balance is set to 0 but drivers side ( front and rear ) is much quieter . I have 8 speaker system (Blaupunkt speakers). Any advice ?

Are the drivers side speakers actually working at all, or are they just quieter in relative terms than the passenger side? Neither of my passenger side rear speakers work at all (the rear door speaker & the one in the rear quarter trim) due to the common Galaxy door wiring loom fault- I have wiring loom damage in the nearside rear door that I haven't yet repaired, which has disabled both rear speakers!

All drivers side is 50% quiter than all passengers side speakers . Wiring in gaitors looks OK . I have Pioneer head unit fitted properly ( had it in my previous Galaxy with no complains ). Ideas ?

Across all on one side sounds unfortunately more like an amp fault, when you changed the speakers did you calculate the impedance?

I did not change speakers all are genuine VW speakers. Head unit only been changed . But standard headunit been flooded with coffe and drivers side did not work when I got this car. How easy is to check or replace amp ?

If the previous head unit has had drink spilt on it, and the speakers still don't work properly with a replacement head unit then my guess would be that when the drink was spilled on the old head unit, something got shorted internally which overloaded the speakers on the right hand channel and has damaged them/ blown them, if you have a speaker you can substitute then you could try swapping one on the drivers side and see if it works as it should?

My only other thought is that the spilt drink has caused corrosion of some wires/ terminals somewhere so that the speakers aren't receiving a proper signal from the head unit.

Thanks for advice . I got 2 speakers in doors changed - same result . Where is amp located . May be it is damaged by cafe as well .

The amp will be built into your HU, since you say it was fine in the previous car but not this one and you are happy that the speakers are OEM and good then it can only be a wiring a fault. Check for corrosion on the speakers multiplug and then the resistance between the plug and the door speakers of the drivers side.
