Hi looking for some help. I read somewhere the mk3 stud pattern is 5x108. This is the same for my focus st. I have compared the bolts on the galaxy and they are wider than those on my st. Will my wheels still fit on the galaxy if I use the original galaxy bolts?
Sorry if this is a really dumb question but it's baffling me. Bought tyres etc already for the changeover without checking  ???
Help greatly appreciated folks.

Sorry, I don't quite understand your question..... do you mean that the stud length protruding from the hub is longer on the Galaxy than the Focus? You said that 'you compared the bolts on the galaxy' but the hubs should be studded with nuts retaining the wheels, not bolts.

Just trying to understand your question properly before responding!  ;)

Sorry I meant the nuts! The nuts are a wider diameter and so are the lugs protruding from the hub in the galaxy compared to the focus. So I'm wondering if the st wheels will fit the galaxy given the above.

I'm still a little confused on that but the stud thickness will be set depending on the load the hub is taking. given the heavier Galaxy I wouldn't be surprised to see it have slightly thicker studs. Providing the nuts match the stud then you should be ok but you also need to consider the offset of the new wheels, the centre bore and the load rating.

Just like tyres have a load rating, so do alloys - the focus rims may not be able to deal with the extra weight.

the general consensus is, the wheels will not be the correct loading for the galaxy.as mark above has said.
