Hi,

Just turned my car on this morning and even before starting the gauge went straight to 90 and slowly creeps up as I drive.

Am I right in thinking the sensor is faulty?

Any advice muchly appreciated

Thanks

Gez

Hello Gez and  [W4]

If it just the temp gauge moving then I would say yes temp sensor, this could also be confirmed by doing a scan with Vagcom/VCDS lite.
2016 Vauxhall Insignia Elite Nav in White 2.0CDTI Manual.
2023 VW Transporter T6.1 SE In Silver 2.9TDI 150PS. 7 Speed DSG Wheelchair accessible day vehicle.

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes as soon as the ignition goes on without starting the car it goes straight to 90 and as the car warms up the gauge goes up too.

Will run down the local garage and see if they can do a diagnostics on it.
