ford radio rds 6000 wiring

Hi and can any one help me with this little problem
I have a ford radio rds 6000 which I have fitted in my galaxy 1.9tdi,my only problem is when its off and no keys in ignition it looses the code, hence i have to put it in every time i use the radio and all works fine. with regard's the power leads etc, they are as follows. yellow,black,red orange,brown,black,blue and are all connected to car radio loom except the brown one which i have no idea where it goes, would this wire cause the radio not to remember code !!

Hi Mark,

Pin 1 of the 'power' connector [that isn't for the speakers] is the constant 12v supply.  If this is not connected, then you will get the behaviour you are seeing.
I don't know if this is the brown wire you write about, but seems likely.
