Intermittent unlock problem with back doors

Hi,

My S-Max has an intermittent problem with the two back doors in that they often won't unlock.  The tailgate works perfectly and they never fail to lock but they often won't unlock.  Sometimes they will unlock by opening the drivers door first, or by opening the drivers door and pressing the lock button on the key fob.  They will always eventually unlock but it is an effort. It sounds as if they are unlocking but it is not working.

Has anybody anything similar or any thoughts on what could be wrong?  Because it's intermittent I can't leave it to somebody to diagnose.

Thanks.

well i would be looking for any broken wires in the door gaitors, just because its a fairly modern car doesnt mean fords have eliminated the age old problem.
once you have checked for any problems, then i would think you would have to be looking at the motors themselves???
