what year workshop manual do i purchase , is mine on the revised model year its first registerd in july 2000.

Take a look at this, if it's a mk1 you own you need the 1996-2000 manual (assuming you're referring to the Haynes manuals), if it's a mk2 you need the 2000-2006 one. On a W plate I expect yours is a mk1.
