Heated rear quarter lights?

Hello!
The rear quarter light windows on my gal look like they have a heated element in them, but they don't seem to do a lot - have tried with both heated front screen and rear screen turned on but nothing. Are they just crap or are mine broken? (Or is it not a heated element at all?!)

Also, what's the best way to find out if the wing mirrors are heated? They don't seem to warm up but again, could be broken?

cheers for you thoughts :-)

Having no external aerial for the radio on mine I thought it was a built in the glass one same as what was on my old granada rear window.

Edit. It could also be part of the alarm system.

Someone please shoot me down if I'm wrong.
If It's not broke don't fix it....except if it's a Ford.

Nope, you're absolutely right, it's for the aerial, first time I looked at my Mk2 rear quarter windows I thought it looked like a heating element but it's only on the offside glass!
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!

Ahhh aerial! Makes sense, until now I hadn't noticed its only on one side! :-p

Nope. Got the joke. Had a good laugh at it actually! Just thought I'd also give a reason for having two aerials too.
