hey guys. :) ok so i managed to have a look at the passenger side rear window regulator as it has over spooled and was chuffed that i managed to strip it down and put it back together ok but when i refited it it wouldnt work. >:( if you listen to the motor i could hear a slight faint whine as if it was trying to work along with a click from a relay.thinking maybe the motor was jammed i removed the cables and other parts so i was just left with a motor and decided to plug it in the car wiring expecting it to work but it didnt.  >:( i then stripped the whole motor down and discovered a circuit board with a relay on it.is there any way of testing the motor to verify the board is knackard or should i just buy a complete replacement? if so do the sharan/alhambra & mk2 galaxy fit or are they different? anybody ever striped the regs out to repair them with any sucess?  cheers guys.  8-)

i was lucky when i had problems with my drivers side,so didnt need to dig that far into the motor gubbins that you have had to do.unless you know of someone whos a genius with circuitry you might spend more dosh chasing the problem so personally i think you would be best of getting another motor/regulator from ebay
