I fitted some Daytime Running lights (Ring) a while back, and have had no problems with them, other than one or two people flashing their main bean back at me very occasionally or fog lights in response to them being a bit "bright" during the evening :-)

I have a yellow wire off them which needs connecting up to the positive side of the side light wiring to detect when i pop the lights on, so that they "dim" for night use. I havent got around to this yet, but feel i need to, to avoid p*****g off other people off.

looking at the headlights on my 02 plate Galaxy, the bulbs dont actually have wiring that i can see going to them individually, so i'm assuming there's a multi-plug connector that goes to the headlamp itself.

The question is, what wire am i looking for, so i can connect this yellow wire up to the side light positive? and where is the best place to tap into it?

any help appreciated.

Connecting in the cabin is the safer bet to be honest, weather proofing in the engine bay has to be 100% else. If you insist, then behind the passenger side headlight is the easiest location. IIRC the wire is grey/yellow.

Yes, you was right.

I've had the wire connected up in the cabin at the back of the light switch.

Everythings working fine now.

Many thanks.  [GJ]
