We arn't really using the Gal at the moment just because of circumstance so in the last 2 months its only done about 50 miles but took her up to London today - a round trip of 300 miles. Sat at 65 all the way up and averaged 49.1Mpg, 85 (sorry 70) on the way back and averaged 39.8Mpg - both sets of figures I am very happy with!

She drove really quietly, pulled well and tracked spot on so the recent work has all been well worth it and finally having the correct tyre pressures for 17's seems to have hauled the MPG back up to where it used to be :) I've been running with 37PSI in but having spoken to VW Technical I now know the correct tyre pressure for 225/45/17's is quite high at 41PSI!
03 Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI 115 Ghia in Spruce Green Metallic
With cream leather interior, Full Bodykit, Remapped at 145bhp, Lowered on 18's
17 Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 V6 Diesel in Slate Blue
262Bhp AWD and Factory fresh...for now!
58 Ford Transit 2.2 TDI 115 in Frozen White
With retrofitted everything except another slidey door! :)
LAUNCH X431 Pad PRO - Scanning & Coding for all makes and models done in Wiltshire in exchange for winegums! :)

I should envy your consumption figures  ;) my galaxy would not go near 40mpg when doing over 70mph.

Well done, I think your clean intake manifold/EGR does i's job. Anyway would you share your Provent 200 installation setup?

Thanks
George

Yes, they do get very good MPG donââ,¬â,,¢t they. I always have a roof box on mine and it never gets less than 38mpg. My 1.6 focus struggles to get 34mog by comparison. So inefficient
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.

I go from Bristol to Middlesbrough and back a few times a year and the old thing gives me around 50 mpg
which is nice.
(Rumours I sometimes give it a bit of welly and reach 90 odd in places are unfounded fake news occifer)
I've always kept the tyres at 40 ish, dunno why, I assume I read it somewhere.

Yes according to the manual the tyres need to be pumped up quite high, I have mine at 44 all round

A friend of mine did 85 over a hundred miles or so and had a roof box on and car full of stuff and he told me he still got 38mpg
