mk1 1.9tdi door lock wiring

hi guys. any ideas where i will be able to get a wiring diagram for the central locking motors? mine currently wont lock any of the doors from the inside unless they are locked one by one. im guessing that there is no 12v power or earth to the locks. the drivers side door doesnt allways lock from the fob.......... depending on the weather lol. well it seams that way anyways hehe.  sometimes i need to lock and unlock the car twice by the fob to lock the drivers door.all the rest are fine. any ideas guys?

Sounds like there's a good chance of it being the usual broken wires syndrome in the rubber gaiters where the wiring loom passes from the body into the doors and or tailgate, might just be worth pulling the rubber boots back and checking for any obviously broken/ kinked wires in each of the doors/bootlid before getting too involved.

insanity. ive had the broken wires in the rubber gaiters before. mainly in the tail gate........ most of them where snapped lol. my next big job is to route new wire to the tailgate. as for the doors ive inspected them and visualy they look fine but i have,nt  checked for continuity yet. whats the best way to do that?

I've seen plenty of these wires in these door gators on the mk2 galaxy especially looking ok untill you move each one about but I've also seen the wires break closer in to the hole where they go in the door so I would go through each wire individually because some of them only rub through a little bit and going unnoticed

To continuity test the door wiring looms is going to involve removing the door cards and foils if fitted so you can unplug and access the connectors for the central locking motors as well as unplugging the loom at the body end so you can access 'both ends' of the wires so to speak and then test them, but if it's an intermittent fault you may well have to wiggle each wire as you test it to see if you lose continuity. I'd take another really close look at the wiring in the area of the gaiters before resorting to pulling door trims off and disconnecting things, it may just save you some work!

guys. last time i attempted to repair the locks......... didnt have much time lol.i could only get two of the wiring looms unplugged so couldnt check the connections for rusty connectors. im assuming the driver lock is fooked anyways as the inner interior handle sometimes jams either locked or unlocked. im sure i read on here a while back of someone pulling the lock mech apart and finding a broken plastic lever in it stopping it from working properly. guna replace the drivers lock and see what happens.
