Wheelbearing packed up

With comedy timing, my nearside front wheelbearing has packed up right before Christmas, driving the car now sounds like a cross between a trip in a propeller driven aircraft and 'Crocodile Dundee' where Paul Hogan is in the outback spinning that thing around his head (making a 'telephone call' as he refers to it in the second film IIRC). I was meant to be travelling to see relatives over the Christmas break so looks like I'll be trying to tackle that job tomorrow, if my old buddies at the garage can help me with the services of their bench press....

Anyway, I haven't seen a wheelbearing thread in the database so will try to take some pics as it goes, if the rain abates!    Sodding car!
