Picked up the new car today, happy with it.

Although there seems to be an issue with the drivers side wiper, as if itââ,¬â,,¢s not gripping on the spline to sweep as it should.
Iââ,¬â,,¢ve not tried, but Iââ,¬â,,¢m sure itââ,¬â,,¢s not just that the nut is loose? Although that would be an ideal situation. Lol

LOL try tightening the nut, maybe also a new blade, do U have video of it maybe
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.

Pillock!!

Iââ,¬â,,¢ll have a look tomorrow and get you a video. Lol

I'd guess its stripped the splines off either the arm or the motor if its not something simple like the nut. Might be worth removing the nut to see whats going on!

Maybe you'd get some luck trying to get it to stay in place with something on the bit with the splines, not had to do it myself, but maybe a bit of ptfe tape might just be enough to stop it slipping. And easily undone if you need the wiper arm off later too!

Yes it does seem like itââ,¬â,,¢s slipping, Iââ,¬â,,¢ll take it off later and have a look.

It went half way up the screen stopped, then carried on and went off the screen, never came back lol

So I took them both off, I think they were the wrong way around.
Passenger one was going off too far, drivers one wasnââ,¬â,,¢t tight enough so was slipping.
Took them off, run the wiper switch. Then put the arms back on correctly.
O/s spline looks to have been damaged a bit during the slipping, n/s one looks ok.

Not sure why the pictures ended up the wrong way? Lol sorry. Meant to be, BEFORE & AFTER

I wonder if some Loctite Threadlock compound would help hold it secure

8-)

No need for thread lock if but has tightened and it is holding arm ok despite the damaged spline. Luckily being tapered they can handle a bit of damage as it just pulls further in to the taper.

To be honest the bolts didnââ,¬â,,¢t seem that tight at all. Once I nipped them up, the wipers worked fine.
