Hey chaps, HNY and all that 😁

I have a triple garage that I tinker with cars in, mainly vintage stuff but some modern things.  I have roller cabs with all my tools in but the garage floor is just concrete so it's lumpy bumpy. Has anyone smoothed out their floor as a DIY? I know there is self levelling compound but would be surprised if that can take the weight?? Maybe some of the epoxy type stuff??

Yeah, I think it's really easy to do. You get this paint stuff you just pour down and it self-levels and works well. Or you can get it in bags (like cement) and I think that does a good job too but you would need to put garage floor paint over it afterwards. Maybe find some on the web and then call the manufacturer to check it will withstand being driven over and suchlike.

It sounds like a nice job to do, especially if you have a lovely triple garage. What a great facility to have!
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
