Currently mid way through kitchen refurb and want to swap from gas cooker to electric. I have a 10mm T and E cable from consumer unit running off a 45a mcb,the CU has RCD protection. I have a double pole cooker isolation switch already. If I run a length of 10mm T and E from the isolation switch to existing pattress and fit new 45a isolation and new 45a cooker connection box is it part P notifiable?

from what i understand,any extra new sockets or rings are notifiable.if you are simply changing sockets/fused spurs etc,then no.
part p,has been a pia for so many,i:e no longer being able to screw sockets to inside of cabinets etc,which then means white goods stick out from the worktop run,who thought of that?lol.
personally for a few quid,i would get a sparks in,that way he/she can then give you paperwork etc.lots of amps going through that 1 bud.

Yeah bit of a mine field is part p.

Sure is big Amps going through a cooker radial can tell by the chunky cable that supplies it. Might just get a sparky in to do final cooker run for the certificate just in case of issues down the line.
