okay here is the deal I have a galaxy ghia 1.9tdi 2002 model with TVs sat nav all the mod cons 2wks ago in broke reverse gear on the auto box yes the brake band.

the family think i need to sell the car as the repair for the reverse gear will be Ã,£1000-1500....

now the car has a new MOT which it flow through
full service history up until the last 2yrs
115,000 on the clock
and the engine runs fine for its year and i bought it for Ã,£1800

now my thoughts are what type of galaxy will I get for Ã,£2500.00 will i get better than I have got once I get the box repair
what would you do???

You can get the whole autobox swapped out for half that repair cost!!

You have a ghia with extra's if your happy with the car then I would have it done as indeed i did Ã,£1600 all in.
Wouldn't touch secondhand auto boxes you'll probably end up worse off
