Judder!

Hello - after scanning the reference library and even the post before this one I hope someone can help. My Galaxy really is ticking off all the most common faults galaxy has!! infuriating!

Basically when cornering at speed I am noticing a light judder through the steering wheel. I have read that this may me the CV joints? I pulled and pushed the front wheels (from side on) and there seemed to be a very slight bit of play back and forth.

anyone know a likely cause of this or what it is likely to be before stripping down!

....just to add the wheels are not new so don't think its the tracking.......

With the car on or off the ground? Off the ground would suggest a wheel bearing, on the ground would suggest track rod ends and/or lower ball joints. Since the Galaxy isn't hard on wheel bearings then it's more likely to be the track rods or ball joints. Fortunately, they are cheap enough and easy enough to do as a set.

I would add to your check list wishbone bushes, and have you looked at the tyres closely while jacked up spin the wheel make sure there's no lumps and bumps in the tread pattern or the side wall.
