Leather Seats

Looking at changing the cloth over for leather in the future. Looks easy enough but my front seats dont have airbags and the leather ones all seem to? Is the Mk1 and Mk2 seats compatiable and is it a strait swap?

thats what I was going to buy and then get another one later to give me the 7 seats?

AFAIK all Mk2's have side airbags, is yours an import? Yes you can swap Mk1 and Mk2 stuff over without many problem, if you DO have side airbags at the moment then you can't just fit seats without them as the airbag controller will see this as a fault.

The middle row centre seat has a 3-point belt on the Mk2 so you'll need to swap over those bits to make it a 3-pointer. Finally you won't be able to fit the 6-seater seats in the 7 seater without removing all the armrests as there physically isn't enough room for them to fit.
