firstly what a stupid place to put cup holders, secondly my good lady and her mate bought a couple of coffees in styrene cups they were a little hot so they put them in the cup holders and drove to the next shop, and well you've probably guessed the outcome, yep lid comes off at speed bump and coffee spills into radio. It now comes on when it feels like it and only radio 3 at that, what I need to know is it the standard doikky to remove it and where do I find the key to put in if I'm successful at cleaning the innards

You need the 2 prong U "tools" to remove it, just insert them either side and give it a pull.

If the code's not been written on the top of it (most seem to) and it's not in the user's pack then PM me the "M" serial number from the side and I'll supply you one :D

thanks Mirez I'll borrow the tools off my mate and let you know.

My Ford 6000 FM radio has stopped working does anyone have any ideas what this could be? the CD player plays fine, the strange thing is since the radios stopped working the speakers have started to crackle when you turn in up near half volume????

No drinks have been spilt in the radio either as i dont let anyone eat or drink in the car so thats been ruled out.... any ideas would be very helpful?

thanks

More then likely a short within the door wiring - the amp will shut down to protect itself if it has a dead short within the speaker wiring.
