Hi
I had my dpf stolen and the replacement has two 8mm steel pipes and the rubber hoses have a small and larger bore does anyone know what goes where? It obviously matters
Many thanks

If they are different bore size can you match up against the other end? They must either go to more steel pipes or on to the differential sensor.

Is dpf under floor or straight on manifold?

Hi Johnny
The sensor also has one spigot larger than the other hence different bore hoses itââ,¬â,,¢s the pair of 8mm steel pipes thatââ,¬â,,¢s got me confused ?

This might help, I think its the right one for your car though the DPF doesn't seem to be listed prior to 2010?

Its not unusual to find they have the flexible pipes changing size from one end to the other, though I don't know if the Galaxy does this, I did find that was the case on the Renault.

Itââ,¬â,,¢s probably done so you can differentiate and connect to sensor properly, canââ,¬â,,¢t see any other reason why they would do it?

That seems the only likely reasoning to me also. Suggest as you said that the pipework gets traced back to the sensor and match the size pipe at either end of the run. Unless by any chance the sensor itself is labelled as to which connection is which of course.

Hi
Thanks for your help everyone, been in touch with Ford and the large bore pipe goes on the front of the dpf and the small one on the rear
Thanks again 👍
