Hi,

My VAG-COM is not seeing the Aux Heater Controller module (018), but it did a month or two ago. Does anybody have any ideas/Solutions?

Cheers!

It probably means that you have no supply to the controller in the booster heater. Check fuses 12 and 3, then the thick red wire that goes to the electrical plug on the booster heater (outside the car under the rear nearside passenger door) as I understand this is prone to failing.

Hello Nigel and  [W4]

Yes the large red wire is prone to corrode and break off, unfortunately because of the limited space you may need to lower the heater down to see both sides of the plug clearly, and to make a repair.
