I got this idea from Ford Galaxy Original Workshop Manual.

You can use normal drill bits (HSS which are used with normal diy type drill machines) and the ones for drilling in metal are better suited for this job, the drill bit has to be totally round from the back (the part that goes in chuck). Note some drill bits are not round from back like sds etc.

The manual says to tape the front sharp edges with sellotape etc. to protect your fingers from cuts etc. however I did not follow this instruction as I use rubber gloves :) while working.

Manual says to use 6mm drill bit I used 5.5mm drill bit as I was not able to insert the 6mm drill bit in there at all.
