A wee question for you all my car is a ford galaxy MK2 2001 it was showing a higher temp than normal so we had the water pump replaced along with the timing belt and thermostat and still it is going way to hot.  So we then tried the aux pump for the rear heating and totally rebuilt this and guess what it is still overheating help please any ideas welcome oh forgot also used a rad flush and new coolant

just noticed another post regarding this and now have another question how do I check the restriction pipe

The restrictor is a small plastic pill type thing with a hole through the middle,it lives in the small bore hose that goes to top of the expansion bottle.
Release pressure out of the system and put cap back on then take off the hose between the expansion bottle and T piece connection,if you squeeze the pipe you should be able to feel the restrictor use some wd40 and push it out with a screwdriver. Once out run a 2mm drill bit through the hole by hand.

My experience with PD engines of it still overheats after the work you have done then you are looking at head gasket

2016 Vauxhall Insignia Elite Nav in White 2.0CDTI Manual.
2023 VW Transporter T6.1 SE In Silver 2.9TDI 150PS. 7 Speed DSG Wheelchair accessible day vehicle.

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.
