My car is a ford galaxy but it has a vr6 engine with VW logos stamped all over it, so im guessing its made buy VW not ford!!! so which OBD2 protocol do I use??? because I have a cheap OBD2 code reader that reads both ford and VAG and because the codes are different for both protocols, I don't know what protocol code table to use. HELP PLEASE!!!

Just as with the TDI which is a VW PD engine with VW engine management, the VR6 engine is indeed a VW unit running VW engine management, therefore you need something able to communicate with VW protocol, not Ford! About the only Ford items on the Mk2 Galaxy apart from the badges are the 2.3 petrol engine, 5 speed manual gearbox and the visteon radios!  :P
