Dear all

My Ford Galaxy 2004 radio 6000 CD is on but has no volume. I have checked its connectors at the back and they are all in  intact. It happened after the battery was removed a couple of times in pursuit of other problems with it.

I shall be grateful for your help.

Kind regards
Dennis

Sounds like the radio has packed up to me,can't see any other reason to suddenly lose all volume.  Quite a common problem on the cd 6000,if you turn to max can you hear a slight noise from speakers? If so will be faulty output amp. They can be repaired but it is probably cheaper to source a good second hand unit off the fleabay.

Hi johnnyroper

No I hear no sound on turning the volume to max. What you suggested makes sense. I shall look for another radio now. Thank you for your help.

Kind regards
Dennis
