just shelled out Ã,£922 on having the top end sorted and today the power steering reservoir runs empty filled it up and 10 mins later empty again booked into the garage tomorrow fluid seems to be all over nearside wheel so hopefully its the reservoir

Unless in doing the work on the engine the garage disturbed and didn't reconnect a power steering pipe properly somewhere or something like that? Were there any issues with fluid leaking before the engine work was done?
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!

nothing up before
would  think they have needed to touch the power steering connections to do cylinder head gasket

I wouldn't think any pas stuff been disturbed,I didn't touch any part of mine when I had the head off.
Maybe they let engine drop a bit far with mount off so it's stressed pipe connection on resavoir or its just coincidence a hose has gone?

doomcloud approaches.................

think it will be the steering rack has failed....mine also shat pas fluid all over nsf wheel arch, and filling up the reservoir it lasted almost enough to get to home.

it was the rack
oh well years of buying old cars and its the first pup i have brought suppose it had to happen sooner or later
