Well its a sad day for our poorly Galaxy, Mot time and a very surprising fail after 3 years of flying through.
She Needs a new exhaust (very surprised)
Nearside outer cv gaitor
offside inner cv gaitor
both offside and nearside front require some welding as corrosion within 30cm of body mountings. (Very surprised)
Quoted Ã,£600 to repair in return for new mot.

Then to rectify the stutter I have had for 2 years.
Having spent out on a new egr valve and cleaning, drive shaft and stub, cambelt and water pump replacement, injector wiring loom all in the last 12 months I can't afford to take the risk on her anymore which is a shame because it's a lovely car and we'll looked after

I think once the Mot work is done we will be trading her in for something newer. The cost of repair and still having the stuttering issue for the last 2 years has just taken its toll.

eurocar parts has cheapest exhausts (in Merseyside anyway)

j and r driveshafts for stretchy cv boot kits with fitting cone

I guess its front jacking points ? the off side one on mine went this year as well...10" square plate bent into a u- shape to repair it.    then found nearside was on its way so I done that as well.

If you were to ask, I don't think anybody would get rid of a car once its been so reliable ???

Thank you for your reply.
Had a ring around a few garages and managed to get all the work completed and a new Mot for Ã,£340. A much easier price to swallow.  I think we may possibly keep it now seeing as it's had a fair amount of work and maintainance completed
