11 Years old and she's just ticked over (and yes I know I missed the exact moment but I was towing a boat!)

Mine's at about 88 so should hit it in the next 18 months or so. My l'il Ford Ka that I'd owned from new was at about 98k when I sold her to make way for the Galaxy, miffed I didn't have her for long enough to click over the hundred 'thou! Good little car, served me well, shame the chassis build quality let it down!

Certainly was, I can't imagine getting back in a KA and driving it now! Quite a bit more body roll in the Galaxy, hardly surprising, the flip side of that is it's a much plusher ride. Obviously the Ka is much lower to the ground, but I much prefer the view of the road from higher up!

My 03 galaxy is on 118k still ticking along nicely although the turbo has a tendency to cut out now an again once you reach around 50mph

MK2 115 on 215K (2001) all completed by me. One clutch , 2 slave cylinders. two d/s couplings One Alternator, 2 back exhausts, 5 cam belt changes etc etc. But original engine original MAF and turbo. SO far so good!!

Air cons broke again!!

There are still a few low miler Mk2's out there, mine had done 83k when I bought it, though low mileage of course isn't a guarantee it's been well looked after or that it's not been bashed and badly repaired previously as I was to find out!  :-[

Our old MK2 which my daughter now drives has 146.000 but after just doing a round trip to Germany and back (1100 miles) in our Sharan I feel the newness has certainly gone from the Galaxy.

The Sharan can sit comfortably at 100MPH on the German autobahn without having to shout and still hear the radio :)
