I went to look at a late Ghia at the weekend.  One of the issues it has is that the roof bar keys (the bars that run in a channel on the roof) are missing.  There is a serial number on the locks.  Can the keys be sourced, or would I have to gorilla the bars off and replace the locks?

there may be a code on the side of the bars somewhere, perhaps your local locksmith will be able to either pick it or cut a key to fit.

Thanks.  I was hoping to be able to just order a set of keys from Ford with the serial number.  They aren't listed alone in the parts index.

Decided not to purchase, anyway.  It's nice enough but I think I'll keep looking for a newer one.  It's quite hard to balance the Ghia spec against newer, lower mileage ones with slightly lower spec, such as the Titanium series.
