not locking on remote key

Hi  my 04 galaxy  wont lock or unlock on the remote key    everything works when you lock/unlock the doors with the key    it did work but would lose its sync after a couple of days   now it wont code to the vehicle  tried turning key 3 times in unlock position  red light on door comes on  hold lock button and 3 pushes on unlock letting go of both buttons together  key flashes  but light in door just stays on   tried disconnecting vehicle battery overnite  and yes have put new batteries in key  (twice)  any thoughts

The circuit board of the key itself has been known to fracture over time causing this kind of problem
