Sony DAB Radio

Hi everyone,

New member, second post.

I've just acquired a 13 plate S-Max TitaniumX which has come with a Sony DAB Radio. There's evidence that the previous owner (who lived around 30m away) had the DAB Radio working as the previous DAB stations are displayed. However, they're not working for me at all.

Unfortunately there's no mention of the DAB radio in the user manual and I don't have a the dedicated audio system manual. I had a couple of questions.

(i) Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the Ford Sony DAB user manual (if there is one)?
(ii) Does anyone how to get the DAB to autoscan to pickup digital radio stations. There is a manual tune option but nothing seems to happen when i press it.
(iii) Has any one had any issues with this? I think its a bit odd that I can pick up DAB stations in my house but not just outside in my car.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Blimey, just what I needed.

Thanks very much.

Just as a quick update, I wasn't able to resolve this issue myself. I took the car into a Ford garage where they confirmed that there was an update to the car's software that was outstanding. Once the update was downloaded all the digital radio channels became available and a bunch of new features appeared in the sat nav.

There was no charge for downloading the update because the car was within warranty. It does make me wonder whether they would have charged for the download if the car had been out of warranty. The sooner cars can have some kind of wifi link to pickup software updates themselves the better.

Hope this is of some help to you all.

yep of course they will charge, robbing gits.
