Hi all back again, now I (we) have sorted the reversing cam issue I have decided to fit a front facing cam thro my existing dvr so I can remove the ugly dash cam, I routed DVD player/rear cam/front cam thro a 3 way manual splitter which works, now I've the issue when the wheels are in motion, I've located on eBay a TV free adapter item number 231150807052. Looking at the adapter it is just connecting two pins together on stereo plug via a switch, my question is can I not just bridge these connections and if so which 2 do I join as in the picture the wires are all the same colour and the buggers have twisted the wires so I can't make out where they go cheers.

Vid in motion is easy on the MFD, afaik you just need to tell it the handbrake is on permanently. Will have a look at my notes later for you

Cant help wondering why you want it tho, unless you can record it ,surely looking thru windscreen is easier

I'm trying to declutter the windscreen, it will record I already have a 4 ch dvr fitted in car and only using 2 at mo. The biggest issue is it getting hit by flies, cheers

Ok so looking at that ebay listing, they are simple putting a switch in-line with Pin 1. Its a little more crude then giving the MFD a "Handbrake on" signal as Pin1 is the GALA / VSS (Speed Signal) so it will just cut the speed pulses and the Navi will think the car is stopped. Should be nice and simple to implement that and certainly for less then Ã,£20 as you can get that switch from Maplin for about Ã,£2!

Thanks Mirez, how would I give it a handbrake on signal as would rather keep the nav fully functional? Cheers

Theoretically it would still be fully functional, it only uses the VSS pulse to dead-reckon when its lost the GPS signal (which is rare if your antenna is in a good position).

Handbrake signal is on the long 26 pin (IIRC) connector - not sure which pin you are looking for though.
