Hello

We have a 56 plate 2Ltr TDCi Galaxy Ghia, it has what looks like folding mirrors (but not electric) but they do not want to fold and feel solid, are they supposed to fold and could they be seized having never been folded before (we've only just got the car) any advise as I would not like to try and force them if they are not meant to fold???

Thank You.   ???

Not aware of folding mirrors on any Galaxy

are you thinking about automatic folding mirrors
or that you can just push them in manually?

as chris says for auto mirrors.

Hello
Thank you for the replies, these would be folded by hand, my handbook says they should fold by hand unless you have the electrically operated ones via a switch next to the mirror adjustment (I don't have that switch :().
So I guess its some WD40 and a bit of patience.  Thank You.

Hello
just a quick update, I removed the plastic mirror cover and sprayed the mounting and spring with
metal freeze spray, waited a minute or two and I now have folding mirrors again, I had tried the WD40
option but it never worked, the Metal Freeze Spray worked in minutes........Brilliant

Cheers.
