Drives like new again.

Sweet but OUCH! Reasonable for what you had done but still - what were the reasons for it Chris and how many miles you done?

It's on 117000 mls now but since it clocked about 90000 there's been a slight slipping in fifth when pulling on a motorway, if you just eased of slightly it would be ok, you would feel it start to shudder slightly and an increase in rev's.
The other problem was delayed first gear when pulling away but only when cold.
Imagine the scenario waiting at a junction to pull out, foot off the brake on to the throttle engine revs slightly but no drive then drive comes in with a jolt, feels just like you been hit from behind.
This is the cracked piston problem they suffer with apparently.
Am passing the car over to my eldest daughter to use as I didn't want to get rid and at the moment it still got my personalised plates on so will still be in the family
