:(i,ve  got a galaxy LX 02  when i switch the ignition on the lights on when i start it up goes of for a second then comes back on . ( the pass flash did not working so i,ve had the steering wheel of and on couple of times to sort that out , put it all back as i found it ).the air bag  light was fine till i did the pass light .

Did you use a phone to type that lol? - I have the same trouble :)

If you've turned the ignition on whilst the steering wheel's off then you'll have logged a fault code for the drivers air bag. The VW system is non-resetting which means that once a code is generated, even if the problem is fixed, the fault code will remain until manually reset.

You can use VCDS Lite (free from Ross-Tech  site) and a suitable VAG-COM/VCDS-Lite lead from ebay (<Ã,£10) to "manually" reset the light.

My brothers Galaxy has this type of fault the Air bag light stays on all the time, my mate put it on his Snap on Diagnostic machine and it came back with the drivers seat, the wiring under the seat is so tight, when you move the seat it dislodges the plug a little thus flagging Air bag fault, he cleared the codes and pushed the plug back together, the light went off and stayed off, but when you move the seat it comes back on.
