Hi. I have a 2005 Galaxy MKII with the satnav unit, put a new battery in about a week ago and now I can't input numbers, It's worked before when I've disconnected the battery, but no more. Usually I rotate the knob on the right to move from number to number, I've tried every knob and button on the thing, but nothing moves on the display. Any advice please?

Problem resolved, saw in another forum, "if there is no option to enter the radio code, leave the unit on for an hour and then try again". Worked a treat, radio unit now working.

Thanks for following up! Normally, that 1hr lock out is because the password has been entered three times incorrectly so that's interesting to see.

Features like that are so annoying, nobody nicks car stereos nowadays anyway and defo not the ones that come with the car when new. All it does is drive legitimate owners nuts every time they change a battery or something
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
