It's getting near oil and filter change time but  am having difficulty identifying the correct filter. Its a 2004 130,anyone point me in the right direction ie type number etc, thanks.

Go on euro car parts and put ref number in,there are 2 types for a galaxy thinner longer one for 115 engines shorter fatter one for 130/150 engines

buy the Mann branded filter, best of them all.

Yep used them on my Passat 1.9

The 130's and 150's usually use a Purflux L267A or Mann HU719/7x, which looks like the below:

Always learning..... Often by mistakes!

Thanks guys,all understood now 👍

Yeah just phone Euros and they should know, give them the car VIN and ask them to double check then call a few other places too with the Same question to confirm the accuracy of their answer
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
