Kind of where your shin will be when sitting in drivers seat,if you get your head down towards pedals you will see it,no need to remove any panels etc.

You dont even have to open the fuse cover
as its tucked under the bottom

I'm waiting on a USB cable to arrive before I can play with Ross tech sofware
but I did play with Torque pro on an android phone using a wifi adapter the other day.
It will be interesting to see how they compare, but expect the VAG to be more detailed
if not so pretty.

Torque will only look at the engine, VCDS will do the rest of the car as well. Its useful to have torque all the same as if you have the adapter in the car and are stuck somewhere you have access to diagnostics without the laptop required for VCDS if you need it (provided you have a phone or tablet with you of course!)

It would probably help if you give an idea what your trying to fix/do with vcds?
