not the lower ball joint

lol fun and games, as I'm a bit new to this lark, I'm mechanically minded from my job, I'm told it's a lower ball joint, track rod arm was the problem, spent a little bit of time swearing at it and gave up and replaced the 2 pieces and now it's great, tbh the movement I had it was best imo to replace both parts.. will get tracking done now and hopefully drivers side is good lol

I did my track rods and ends both sides last year, the inner rack boot clip is a pig to get at as access is limited. Also did lower arms due to knackered ball joints,they were not the easiest to wrestle out either...

Over the years I just about replaced every steering and suspension joint, bearing and bush on mine, apart from one inner track rod, wheel bearings, driveshafts and both bottom ball joints.

It still surprises me that the balljoints in particular are still the original ones after over 160,000 miles, and still perfectly good.

I was a bit surprised to be honest, this all started when I took the car in for a tyre, a large company beginning with H, (rip off tossers) asked for a free suspension check, knew work needed doing but I wasn't technical enough to pin the noise down, so I'm told lower ball joint, bit pizzed, to find track rod ends with more play than my kids have in a week, the stupid tossers could of caused me a accident and I have kids.. wankers
