Hello all.
Does anybody know if motomax.pl is still operating? I'v sent them an email to see what carriage cost is
for the type 'A' shaft (intermediate/stub shaft), but haven't had a reply. That was 4 days ago.
Or, would anybody know of where else i could go to get said parts...
Many thanks all,
Cheers.

Hi all,
My intermediate driveshaft is ready to fail, I've read Mirez post about the polish drives and I've had a look and they look the part. My galaxy is 2001 with the aluminium bearing carrier. I can source a replacement online but I cannot source this "Modification Kit/Bracket! Does anyone know a way out or is the polish type "A" shaft the right one? Thanks.

As far as I can see on Motomax website, type "A" shaft fits into the aluminium carrier, so it's just a matter of clicking that? Also, is there any differences in the length of the driveshafts that you know of?

I think J&R do list the intermediate shafts, or did last time I looked, They wouldn't be my first choice though.

Hi there bri. Yes I have contacted them, but apparently not.
Thanks for response.

Yes they are still trading and yours is definitely the carrier A version, I actually bought another inner spline shaft very recently for another car (NB, the one in the post you reference above is still merrily turning away with no sign of wear). When I wrote that post motomax where the only ones who supplied a replacement outside of the main dealer networks but there are now a few other suppliers but personally I would avoid J&R shafts, longevity isn't something they seem to have heard of.

However the motomax on-line shop is appalling and not even well linked from the homepage of their own site!

Hello. Thanks for the info Mirez.
Yes i realized (after about 20 mins!!) that you had to click 'store' on the top right
of Motormax' web page, to get to the shafts....tut  :-[

Could you recommend any other? (apart from Motormax and j&r)
I'm a bit perturbed about parting with the dosh to Motormax, as they
haven't returned my email. I'v sent two now.

Also, i haven't taken mine off yet, through fear of it falling apart,
and i need the car to be mobile at the moment, but, is there a bearing
pressed into that aluminium carrier?

Thanks again.

+1 to the comment about the J&R ones, hence why I said not my first choice. Last driveshaft I had off them had play in the joint within 10k, and turned out was the cause of vibration at speed as well.
