hi all, i bought a galaxy 08 plate tdci from an auction a month back, went it came through the ring it sounded fine, but when i went to pick it up a couple of days later it would not start, it would try but just wouldnt fire,  evetually we got it going by towing it, but since then it just will not start when we got it home,  weve tried easy start, towing etc, it will not fire, my mechanic took the egr off and said it was stuck open but still the same, he seems to think theres no heat getting to the glow plugs ?  someone has fitted a hand priming pump under the bonnet, which leads us to believe it may have more than one fault, also ive noticed when i turn the ignition on the dash dosnt come to life till after about 10 seconds, not all the lights come on till after this 10 seconds,  the glow plug light dosnt come on at all though,  has anyone got any ideas of what could be wrong, i just need to get it started and got rid of tbh as i need something reliable.  any advice would be very much appreciated,

1st thing i would be trying is check your battery, you should be able to see what voltage it is through your dash board.
