I need a towbar just to use for a garden trailer or bike rack.
The car is new to me and I've just checked behind the rear trim panels to see whats there for wiring. It must have had a towbar fitted before as it has a teb7as bypass relay still in place. Good news I think, as I'm halfway there and just need to buy the towbar and 7pin electric kit. Detachable is best I guess to avoid possible parking sensor issues?
My question is, in the photo you see a spare black wire just above the relay, any ideas what it is?

I have a tow bar and it is ok with the parking sensors
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
