Evening all.

Problem on the MK3 - horn is inoperative. Have checked fuse F31 blue 15 amp and that is in tact, even swapped with another blue one just to make sure.

In fuse box, when horn is pressed can hear and feel the Relay R9 clicking. So i presume that rules out faulty steering wheel switch.

I suppose the only option i am left with is remove the horn and put a 12v charge over iti and see if it works - unless anyone has any other suggestions before i go down that route.

Also the alarm has recently been going off for some unknown reason and wifey said it showed a message in the dash saying ALARM SERVICE RQD - wonder if this has anything to do with it if it has disabled the horn in some way?

Chris

You are right confirmed switch works as relay clicks.

You have not confirmed relay is operating though, need to check for a feed out when it clicks,if ok check at horn to make sure feed from relay there and also a good earth is present. If both ok then new horn required.
