Cheers! I think I speak for the majority of RL contributors when I say its great to hear that people find the info useful! At the end of the day its all about information sharing so its great if it's helping someone! :)

Yes I would like to say thank you for the reference library . Its a bit difficult to find info on my 2.8 . I have a very good stock of tools jacks axle stands and a really nice tool cabinet on wheels but it still came as a shock when I realaised I never even had a 36mm socket for the simple oil filter change !!!!

I seem to recall the Ford Mondeo (Mk3) diesels and 2000 on Transit diesels also having a 36mm headed cap on the oil filter housings! Do any of the Haynes manuals e.g, for the VW Golf etc cover the VR6 engine?
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!
