Hi!

I have a question regarding Galaxy Mk1 5-speed manual VXT 75.

My car has a 2,3 liter engine with very crunchy 3rd gear. Presumable the culprit is a worn 3rd gear syncronizer.

Are the gearboxes from 2-liter and 2,3 liter car interchangeable? Is there any differences in ratios? Or is it better to use the gearbox from Mk2? Some say, that 2001-2005 boxes have a stronger 3rd gear.

With greetings from Estonia
Tarmo
