Hi, just bought the 2010 Mk 3 2.2 TDCI Zetec and have noticed that one of the tyres is a different size. One of the rears is fitted with a 215/60 R16 whereas the rest are 205/60 R16. I think that the 215/60 R16 is the correct size, anybody know for sure?

Does the vehicle have a tyre pressure decal attached somewhere (usually on one of the door pillars or inside the fuel filler cap)? That should list the tyre sizes. Failing that, the owner's handbook should list the different tyre sizes the model is fitted with from the factory where it lists the various tyre pressures.
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!

I wasn't aware there was a 2.2 Zetec. I have a 2008 2.2 Ghia fitted with 225/50R17s as standard.
One thing is bizarre though; when I recently had my discs changed, the front discs are the same as fitted to a Mondeo ST220 and are a couple of inches bigger than most Galaxys. Apparently they were only fitted on the Galaxy production line for a few months; thought the brakes were damned good  :)
